I love the diversity in District 9. We wanted to raise our child in a diverse community. Teach her to be an active member in her community to help it grow. This is definitely the place!

We moved to Uptown almost 3 years ago and we are very excited to see all the great things coming to this part of Long Beach. The Farmer’s market is a great Friday night outting for our neighborhood. Maybe more events on that corner would be awesome! Its a great apace. I want to just thank all the people that have worked so hard to bring it to the north! It is much appreciated!

GOAL: 500 signatures

We reached our phase one petition goal, now let's get to 500!

Since the 1930s, Houghton Park has stood as the central meeting location and heart of the North Long Beach community. Even today, it is arguably the most used park in the city.

The Long Beach City Council has a unique opportunity to invest in our city's biggest infrastructure needs. I believe that the condition of Houghton Park should be a top priority.

Sign the petition if you agree that now is the time to finally invest in the community center to make it meet the needs of a very large and diverse community.

This is awesome! The northside definitely needs more green space.
