My concern is about the remodeling or repainting of bildings that look old or won down from harsh heat or rain. I live five minutes away from Bixby Knolls, and the houses and lawns look immaculate, and my goal is for the buildings of district 9 to look the same. The majority of African Americans, such as myself, want to feel proud of where they live, and my area does not reflect the proudness that I see in other areas of Long Beach. So how about it Councilman Neal join me in considering my crusade of making district 9 beautiful.
