Uptown Renaissance Happening All Over!

On this page we like to highlight progress to the Uptown Renaissance happening in North Long Beach.

Some of the latest highlights would include:

A complete transformation of Coolidge Park, including new basketball courts, a playground, exercise equipment and a brand new dog park.

We're also seeing a transformation of the business corridor along Atlantic Avenue between 52nd on up through Artesia Blvd. to about 70th Street with the Atlantic Avenue Complete Streets Project.

And we're now proud to announce that there are two Farmers Markets in the area to choose from, both Friday evenings and Saturday mornings now in Ramona Park.

Previous highlights included:

January was highlighted by the kickoff festival celebrating the Atlantic Theater and transitioning the site to make way for the new North Neighborhood Library starting this Spring. The Atlantic Theater's removal progressed quickly after the festival.

Jordan High School's extensive modernization project also kicked off in January.

And that's just for starters. From Bixby Knolls on up through North Long Beach, there are a lot of great things happening. Make sure you check out our website and join our Facebook page for all the latest.

Here is a map of the area with many of the projects highlighted. Check it out and make sure to check back in.

There needs to be much more investment in the 9th to catch up with the rest of LB.
I have lived in zip codes 90802, 90814, and now 90805, but this one needs work.
