Stand Up for a New Houghton Park Community Center

Since the 1930s, Houghton Park has stood as the central meeting location and heart of the North Long Beach community. Even today, it is arguably the most used park in the city.

The Long Beach City Council has a unique opportunity to invest in our city's biggest infrastructure needs. I believe that the condition of Houghton Park should be a top priority.

Sign the petition if you agree that now is the time to finally invest in the community center to make it meet the needs of a very large and diverse community.

I’ve heard that you’re planning to have a training session for the InsideDistrict9 website. I’m not a district captain, but I’ve volunteered to attend the training for my Grant Neighborhood Association. Can you tell me when this is scheduled for? I didn’t notice anything about it on the District 9 calendar.
